A CAD lab has been setup for the purpose of Civil, Mechanical & Industrial Production and Electronics and Communication Engineering students. This is also being used for the Research activities of the faculty members and for conducting continuing education programmes for staff, students and working professionals. 

Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) Chapter: 

JNNCE ISTE Chapter has been awarded the "Best Chapter Award 1999" of Karnataka section.  

The Students chapter of ISTE was inaugurated by Prof. S. Rajashekaraiah, Hon. Vice Chancellor of Visweswaraiah Technological University, Belgaum on Jan. 18, 1999. The chapter has a strength of 165 student members. 

Internet Facility: 

Internet browsing facility is provided for students and staff. 

KSOU Study Centre (Karnataka State Open University Cell): 

Karnataka State Open University Study Centre is functioning in the college. Any eligible public can register for the courses offered by the University such as BSc and MSc in Information Technology. 

Government Sponsored Incubation Centre:

A Government of Karnataka sponsored Incubation Centre has been functioning in the college to nurture innovative ideas. It is a boon to the Shimoga district I.T activities. People with ideas are given support to transform themselves into successful enterpreneurs in the I.T area in this Incubation center. Science and Technology Enterprenurship Park (STEP) has been started in collaboration with SSI of Government of Karnataka for training and development of unemployed public
